Dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing in her community, Dr. Kelly is a compassionate speaker and educator.

She facilitates training opportunities that empower community and student groups, nonprofit organizations, businesses, as well as animal and human healthcare providers. Dr. Kelly draws upon her years of training and experience as both a Doctor of Prevention Science and Licensed Professional Counselor to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and empowerment necessary to lead mentally healthy, enriching lives.
Through her own lived experiences as well as time spent working alongside healthcare providers, survivors of trauma, individuals with mental illness, students, and athletes, Dr. Kelly has gained insight into the individual and societal-level risks that hinder our ability to thrive. She has dedicated her time and livelihood to learning and imparting knowledge about healthy ways to promote resilience and mental wellbeing. She values holistic approaches to healing and thriving, including animal-assisted interventions and pet therapy, creativity, nature activities, and intentional movement.

Dr. Kelly educates from a health promotion and prevention-focused lens. She has extensive experience researching veterinarian suicide prevention and has additionally acquired proficiency in addressing the prevention of interpersonal and animal violence, dog bites, elder abuse, trauma, and adverse childhood experiences.
